Vahika was born an Eshu Fae, in Household Wlady. The Wlady have always served House Liam, most often as retainers of various kinds rather than knights. Vahika was gifted as a Seer. Due to House Liam's caring interest for humans, she was part of those that eventually joined forces with the Watchers several centuries ago. While a strong motivation to do as such was to ensure that immortal troubles wouldn't put the Fae world at risk, there was also an educative incentive for both groups to cooperate. Not only are members of House Liam highly skilled record keepers, but several of them were able to directly help and also teach human Watchers how to find pre-immortals.
After having served as one of the founding members of what is commonly referred to as the "Canvasing" unit among the Watchers, Vahika eventually led the unit whenever she wasn't working on the field, and instead focused on research. When her Operative work called, a couple of other founding members took the helm.
With a lifespan of 300 to 600 year old, Vahika has experienced three different bodies so far. She lived in Slavic territory (600-1200), France and Western Europe (1200-1700), and North America (1700-present). In the past decades, she worked on the research side of the Watchers' Order, instructing many new recruits. For such purposes, she was based in Virginia.
She recently got a new field assignment, for which she volunteered after being shortlisted by the immortal's previous Watcher. In order to investigate Michele Hawkins, Vahika has recently relocated to Chicago.
During her first life, Vahika eventually worked with another Slavic fae, and through the use of blood magic, she bound her beloved cat, Tedinka, to her own soul, so that they would remain together through deaths and reincarnations.
Passionate about arts, Vahika's patronage is of the Euterpian kind, for she has always had great fondness for music.
