Ishara was the Queen Mother of Hapes, and ruler of The Hapes Consortium. She was ruthless and cunning; a keen politician with low-tolerance for those who did not please her. Like many Hapan rulers before her, she despised the Jedi. Unlike her predecessors, she regarded The Galactic Empire as a potential ally. Her potential willingness to see beyond the Transitory Mists that marked the boundaries of her territory lead to an unlikely alliance between the Consortium and Onderon. Ishara is the mother of Prince Tristan and Princess Elaine. Her husband died mysteriously some years ago. It is suspected that he was assassinated by the Queen herself, as is common amongst the upper-echelons of Hapan society. Ishara herself was assassinated, though the perpetrator of this crime remains a mystery. With her death and her daughters absence from the Consortium, Ishara was succeeded by her grand-daughter Beatrix Alastor.
