- "Delirion always had been taken in by distractions. Sometimes, Hob wondered if she was less physical and more hauntingly spiritual than even she guessed. Certainly, she appeared that way- empty and sighing in her own deluded darknesses."
- ―Evil Hobgoblin
The character of Nya Halcyon was created by Mara in late 2000. Originally she went by the name of Delirion, which was a name supposedly given to her in her youth. It would always stay with her, even after adopting her given name as a sign of distancing herself from her past. Nya Halcyon is a Darksider with conflicting intentions, no loyalties and a messy past - as well as an impressive amount of delusions.

Who is Nya Halcyon?
|
The character as such is an oddity, seemingly more ethereal at times than a substantial human being, always more inclined to listen to her own self-delusions than believe in what is truly happening around her. Nya has never acknowledged others' authority well, and is a severe loner - her skills and imperfections (no telekinetic skills unless able to draw on an outside source of Force energy - but able to absorb massive amounts of Force energy, and more than average skill at Force Persuasion) have made it necessary to her not to seek training from others - instead she's learned everything she could by trial-and-error, which has not been an easy path but at least, after years, a successful one. Were she to stand against another Force User on one of her better days, she would be a match for a Sith Lord - or Jedi Master.

Common Ground
|
As a young girl, Nya finds out her parents are not the simple space traders from their homeworld of Corellia, but two of the Jedi that survived the Jedi Purge at the end of the Clone Wars. She is drawn to seek out someone whom she believes can teach her more and finds the nefarious Dark Jedi Adalric Brandl (In the Post-Reset dimension, for copyright reasons, he will be called Gerand Belarq), an actor whose warped mind drives him to get the girl to betray her parents to him. Unwittingly she seals her fate by accidentally killing her own parents in the process - an act which Brandl/Belarq sees this as her initiation to her “apprenticeship” with him. Under his tutelage she learns much about the Force and even more about the Dark Side of it, remaining, however, a mediocre student when it comes to using any of its power. One day she manages to get away from him by denunciating him to the Emperor’s Jedi Hunters, and witnesses him being murdered in cold blood.

Differences between Dimensions
|
Both Post- and Pre-Reset suffer from powerful delusions, and the lack of proper instruction.
The difference between the two "dimensions" is that Pre-Reset Nya was weak, rotting from the inside out, feeding her own inability to take control of her life with delusions, and only slowly coming to terms with herself. She is fighting for control over her own mind against the spirit possessing her, and when she is finally free of it, she's at the brink of death.
Post-Reset Nya has never been possessed by any spirit other than the one she is imagining. The existence of such a thing, and the implications of being possessed are nothing but an excuse to explain her own wrong-doings. Unable to come to terms with her own dark side, it is the "spirit" which she cannot control anymore which is responsible for lashing out and inflicting terror and death on anyone in her way, whereas she believes herself - her "innocent" self - to be inherently benevolent and following the path of the light.
Another difference is that the name "Delirion" was a nickname to the Pre-Reset Nya and one she dropped later, whereas to Post-Reset Nya the name "Delirion" is the one given to the "evil spirit" possessing her - still a name from her childhood, she has associated it with all that is malevolent about herself but cannot admit the implications.

Character Overview
|
Nya Halcyon of the Black Hand Out in the Galaxy, she quickly learned of others like her and seeks to join the Sith Order. During a training session she assaults her new master and gets thrown out again - it becomes apparent that the spirit of Adalric Brandl manifested itself in her mind and is now trying to destroy her. Forced out on her own, she retreats to Bast Castle on Vjun and is more or less run over by a group of Dark Jedi who want to take over the castle as their headquarter. She joins them and they create the cult of the Black Hand, a thorn in the eye of both Sith and Jedi. In the months to follow, Nya learns to live with both her resident evil spirit and her growing skills and power over the Force, training herself and eventually finding the means to rid herself of Adalric’s spirit and becoming a more formidable Dark Jedi.

Skills & Abilities
|
* Able to absorb large amounts of Force energy, and out of necessity learned to draw even the minutest amount of this energy out of her surroundings
- Trained as an actress, able to augment her speech with the Force and thereby gain advantage over others - she rarely used this, however, as she considered it "child's play"
- Able to influence others' visual senses by overlaying them with her own - useful for throwing of her enemies in an attack by forcing them to act and react to her liking
- A natural talent for languages, able to understand the meaning of conversations in foreign languages through her Force-gift, and even able to understand some birds and beasts
- In earlier years unable to move even a pebble through the Force unless "charged" with absorbed Force Energy, she learned to overcome this by drawing on the smallest source of such energy available
- Found she had a rare talent: the Force Scream - if used during a fight it will throw anyone nearby into a near-catatonic state, thus effectively disarming them. Unfortunately this would also affect her severely and render her unconscious for a short time, thereby negating any advantage she might have
