Alice was the second-born to Count Harek and Countess Ragna Di Scarra. Her parents were significant members of the Drogheda Citadel aristocracy, as well as owners of one of the local successful mining exploitation.
She exhibited what could only be described as Force potential from a young age, with a remarkable affinity to recognize poison in flora or drinks. It brought attention to the family as some other nobles who didn't want a child to risk ruining some of their dark schemes.
The Di Scarra were loyal to the current Queen and it cost them their lives during these dark times as their estate was bombed, killing the Count and the Countess. Alice, who was eight year old at that time, and her older brother eleven, survived thanks to one of the family's security officer, who smuggled them outside of the citadel, hoping to find the children a place to stay.
They were stopped when trying to leave the planet by a mysterious person. Alice had the impression they had met before but couldn't remember where. The stranger happened to be an envoy who had spent some time at the court. When facing opposition from the security officer, the woman struck him down and then left with both children, revealing herself to be a Sith during their journey in space.
The Sith, Aksara Siron, had felt the strong potential of Alice and wondered whether her brother had any talents too. She took them to the Sith Temple on Malrev IV during the days of the New Sith Empire (circa 1050 BBY). Having always seen her brother Haron being the favorite, Alice thought it was her chance to prove herself and get everything she could from that woman who seemed to finally recognize her gifts. Siron picked on the rivalry between siblings quick enough and eventually had them spar together more than once, exacerbating the antagonism, until the day she told Alice that only of them would be instructed to become a Sith. Alice killed Haron and began her training in the Dark Arts.
Satisfied with her pupil, Siron transmitted her knowledge to Alice over many years. Siron was particularly skilled in herbalism, potions, alchemy and poisons, which made the young Di Scarra the perfect student, although Siron noted after only a few years that it was likely Alice's talents for such crafts went even beyond her own, which was troubling.
As one of many trials before she was bestowed the rank of Knight, Alice returned to Drogheda Citadel to dispose of her parents' murderers. She visited the ruins of the estate to salvage the contents of certain well hidden vaults before returning to the Sith Temple.
She fought side by side with her Master during the New Sith Wars. During a tragic battle, Siron was fatally wounded and died in her pupil's arms. Alice vowed to avenge her one day but had no time to do anything for the attackers captured her and took her prisoner by Jedi.
She was placed in cryo-stasis to ensure she wouldn't escape, but the facility was rumored destroyed during an attack, though Alice's pod remained intact (and possibly a few more). The cryo-pods were eventually discovered by Palpatine's spies shortly after he became Emperor and since Alice's vitals were fine, her pod was transferred to another facility, to be kept for later use or experimentation purposes.
