The Resistance (TFA)

Military

The military forces of the Resistance are divided between two main divisions:

• The Army division, denoted by red rank insignia, consists of all soldiers, pilots, technicians, and support staff, operating primarily out of planetary bases like the headquarters on D'Qar. The Starfighter Corps and the SpecForce Corps are both considered part of the Resistance Army.

• The Navy division, denoted by blue rank insignia, consists of all starships and transports affiliated with the Resistance, as well as the officers and crewmen required to run them. The Rogue Fleet is one of the main components of the Resistance Navy, though counter-intuitively it (and it's command carrier) is commanded by an Army officer, General Jaden Luka. Because of the Resistance's rank structure, a "Captain" usually refers to a freighter or transport captain, while "Commander" refers to a starship commander.

Starfighter Corps

• Gold Squadron - Elite X-Wing unit, based on D'Qar. Answers directly to General Meorrrei.
• Red Squadron - X-Wing unit, based on the Challenger II. Part of the Rogue Fleet.
• Blue Squadron - X-Wing unit, based on the Challenger II. Part of the Rogue Fleet.
• Green Squadron - X-Wing training unit, based on D'Qar.

• Challenger II - Endurance-class Fleet Carrier. Command ship of General Jaden Luka. Home of Red Squadron and Blue Squadron.
