Ethan Evans is young mutant and current student of Steve Rogers High School, Los Angeles. His code-name is Apollo (given to him by members of the Greek Club), though he also goes by the nicknames QB, All-Star, and Golden Boy, the latter being a satirical reference to his ability to do no wrong.

Mutant Powers

| Ethan's powers encompass a variety of physical enhancements. Although his body appears to be that of an average - albeit athletic - teenager, he posses incredible strength and speed, as well as extra-sensitive reflexes. In addition to this, he experiences significantly reduced fatigue, giving him the stamina of an Olympic long-distance runner.

Biography

| A former student of the now infamous Apple Valley High school (whose gymnasium was destroyed by his ex-girlfriend Jacinda 'Tempest' Blake), Ethan was well on his way to gaining a college scholarship based on his run as star quarterback of the Apple Valley Arrows. Prom king, all-star athlete and the most popular guy in school, it seemed he had it made – until one fateful day, when everything went wrong. In the final quarter of the homecoming game, Ethan lost control of his newly developed mutant abilities. A pass to one of his team-mates was delivered at such speed and strength that the player on the receiving end was hurled to the ground, numerous bones broken. Though the boy lived, Ethan's reputation was irreversibly tarnished. His college application was withdrawn and, ashamed of what their son had done, his parents packed him off to Doctor Cullen's Institute for the Gifted. Although he endeavoured to fit in amongst the young mutants of Cullen's, Evans couldn't seem to find himself a place amongst the schools students and mid-semester decided to transfer to Steve Rogers High School - an average high-school, where his past would be unknown.

| Ethan was described by his high-school professors as being good-natured, energetic and highly motivated. Whilst not the most academically astute of students, he invested substantial time and effort into his studies, to make sure that he got the grades needed to remain part of the football team. The school counselor noted that, although his buoyancy dipped a little after the expulsion of his long-time girlfriend Jacinda Blake, Ethan quickly recovered and returned to full form, stronger and more determined than ever. When he puts his mind to accomplishing something, he will do everything in his power to reach his goal. All in all, he is the perfect student - and a charming young man.
