The Rath Cartel was created after the death of Tyber Zaan, when the remains of the Zann Consortium were subsumed into the corporate empire of by Rath Ouishii Dae. It now exists as a corporate and criminal organization engaging in both legitimate and illegal business within the Galactic Empire, the Alliance of Free Planets, and the currently independent sectors of the galaxy.
Ambassador Wrath has acquired a number of prominent corporations over the years, including Ghtroc Industries and Czerka Arms. Following the Treaty between the Alliance and Empire, Wrath was able to acquire Ubrikkian Industries - a former subsidiary of Kuat Drive Yards now located on the opposite side of Alliance space to Kuat.

A corporation more than four millennia old, Ubrikkian Industries most recently existed as a subsidiary of Kuat Drive Yards, primarily catering to customers in the Outer Rim - particularly the Hutts. After the Alliance-Imperial Treaty of 10 ABY redrew several galactic borders, Kuat was entirely separated from that customer base and from Ubrikkian Industries' production facilities in the Outer Rim. Ambassador Wrath purchased the corporation, and adapted it into the new cornerstone of his business empire. Ubrikkian Industries is run on Rath's behalf by Skylar Trezen, a former KDY employee.
Ubrikkian Industries consists of two main subsidiaries:
- Ubrikkian Transports, which produces starships and repulsorcraft. It's corporate headquarters is on Tatooine, with subordinate facilities on Circumtore, Duro, Hypori, and Narg. Several smaller shipwrights and manufacturers purchased by the Rath Cartel have been incorporated into Ubrikkian Transports: including Ghtroc Industries, TransGalMeg Industries, the Pri-Andylan Shipyards, Starfeld Industries, the Huppla Pasa Tisc Shipwrights Collective, and Uushlos Manufacturing.
- Ubrikkian Steamworks, which develops droids and automated machinery. It's corporate headquarters is on Procopia, with subordinate facilities on Ord Cestus, Etti IV, Hypori, and Rodia. The Rath Cartel has bolstered the corporation through the acquisition and incorporation of subsidiaries - including the Drever Corporation, Dymek Corporation, Prax Arms, Kelvarex Consolidated Arms, and Palandrix Personal Protection Gear - turning Czerka Arms into one of the industry's leading producers of exotic and unorthodox weapons (slughthrowers, electronic discharge weapons, bounty hunter ordnance, and the like). Czerka Arms also produces weapons systems for Ubrikkian Transports vehicles.
