The first of two craft purchased by Black Sun Lieutenant Chir'daki, the Lethan is a Delta-7 Aethersprite Interceptor, so named because of the integrated Astromech unit built into it's hull: R4-L10. Due to the odd accent of the salesmen from whom Chir'daki bought the craft, the latter half of the droid's designation sounded similar to the Twi'leki word, which refers to an extremely rare shade of red skin pigmentation that is highly desirable amongst Twi'lek slaves.

Purchased by Black Sun Lieutenant and former Bounty Hunter Chir'daki, the Lethan is a NovaSword Space Superiority Fighter that was used primarily as a surface-to-orbit transport for himself and his bodyguard, to avoid the often complicated process of landing his 55 meter Horizon-class Star Yacht, the Rutian.

Despite it's rather mundane usage, the Lethan was a fast, agile, and well-designed combat craft. Though equipped only with a pair of laser cannons, the high manoeuverability and impressive accelleration allowed it to put those weapons to good use, and the carefully-crafted hull provided aerodynamics that gave Chir'daki a definate edge in atmospheric combat. The craft was at times utilised as the designers intended, often in pursuit of particularly evasive targets. Another seldom-used feature of the Lethan was it's hyperdrive: with the far more spaceous and comfortable Rutian available for long-distance travel, the drive was seldom used for anything aside from short inter-system jumps to conserve fuel and reduce travel times.

Over the course of it's service to Chir'daki the Lethan did undergo some minor modifications. The targetting and navigation systems were upgraded, and the weapons systems completely overhaulled: the twin laser cannons were replaced with a cluster of three emitters - twin blaster cannons, and an ion cannon. The craft was capable of delivering an ion blast or a pair of blaster bolts from each wingtip, or could discharge all three emitters in concert, simultaneously overwhelming and overloading a target's shields. Further modifications included the conversion of the ship's external cargo bay into a pressurised chamber, just large enough to store a single humanoid for short-range flights.
