Tannis V'larr was a starfighter pilot for the Galactic Empire. Notably, he served as a member of elite TIE fighter unit known as Shadow Squadron, first as Shadow Ten aboard the Victory-class Star Destroyer Termagant, then as the commander of the squadron aboard the Imperial-II-class Star Destroyer Admonisher. He earned his callsign, "Professor," in his academy days, both for his draconian flight style and for his penchant for instructing his colleagues and - on occasion - even his superiors. He was best-known for flying the formidable TIE Defender superiority starfighter.
