Introduction
The Gungan Council (TGC) was a Star Wars roleplaying message board founded in 1999. Initially separate from the TheHolo.Net (at the time called SW-Fans.Net) roleplaying universe, the group was invited to join in 2000.

After nearly a year of being a part of SW-Fans.Net, TGC left to instead concentrate upon developing it's own roleplaying universe.

History
Creation

The Gungan Council was founded as an independent roleplaying community in November 1999 by member General Ceel. From the outset, the message board was intended to serve as a separate roleplaying universe, with it's own roleplaying and group forums. In addition to the presence of Jedi and Sith groups as was typical of most roleplaying boards, TGC stood out from other boards with the presence from the outset of a 'gungan' group as well.

SW-Fans.Net Involvement

In early 2000, Jedi roleplayer Darth Turbogeek came across The Gungan Council's message board and invited them to join the roleplaying that was taking place at SW-Fans.Net. As a result, TGC established itself as an individual gungan group within the SW-Fans.Net roleplaying universe, whilst still maintaining it's own roleplaying on it's original message board.

Unfortunately, disagreements between the administration of both message boards led to TGC removing itself from SW-Fans.Net by the end of 2000.

Current Status
The Gungan Council remained on ezboard, transitioning to Yuku in 2008 and then to Tapatalk in 2017. In early 2020 General Ceel retired his ownership and handed control of the site to it's members who built a brand new message board, initially with XenForo and then later switching to Invision Power Board.

In April 2022 the message board went offline and it appears TGC has now closed.
