Biography

Wei Wu Wei's first memories as a boy are of the Jedi Temple, a Miralukan caretaker, and an ornate bowl capable of producing a clear, pure tone. When the caretaker used the bowl around him, Wei could feel the presence of those near him, get small insights into their emotional states, and sense the dimensions of a room very well. When the tone faded, his heightened senses faded to normal range. He also discovered that the humming of lightsaber blades produced the same effect.

Wei later found out this was due to an unknown anomaly with his ability to connect to the Force. The Jedi Masters referred to it as being "crippled in the Force," which later earned him the derogatory nickname "The Force Cripple" from his fellow Younglings and Padawans. He struggled with his handicap briefly before finally deciding that he was better off, since he found most Force techniques difficult to use, and enjoyed learning about lightsaber combat above all other Jedi training. He then received permission to devote himself wholly to lightsaber training.

When Wei became old enough, the Council assigned him to Jedi Master Quinlan Vos. Vos argued with the Council at first, saying Wei would only drag him down, until the Council demonstrated Wei's condition. Quick-thinking Vos began to see the usefulness of Wei's condition, and agreed to take Wei as his Padawan learner. }

Clone Wars
Wei Wu Wei spent most of his time during the Clone Wars directing his Master's troops. The rest of the time Wei managed basic espionage and serving as a red herring to keep Count Dooku from guessing his Master's true identity. Though Wei was (and still is) a terrible liar, Wei had no trouble withholding infromation from those who would threaten his mission.
Force Powers
Wei is very adept at lightsaber combat, owing to his condition limiting his Jedi training. Wei currently has knowledge of four out of the seven classic lightsaber forms of combat. By the time Sidious issued Order 66, Wei was considered to be proficient in Forms I, III, and VI.

Wei's condition limits his ability to sense others through the Force, since he can only accomplish use of the Force with a lightsaber or pure tones. Wei cannot succeed at Jedi Mind Tricks and other telepathic skills at all. He can perform some mild telekinetics, but only with time and total concentration.

Wei's strength and speed are automatically augmented by the Force when in the presence of a lightsaber or a pure tone, but cannot be improved beyond what some might consider an intermediate or Knight level. Any Force user who specializes in Force Boosting can overcome Wei easily with enough effort.

Padawans
Wei has never been assigned a Padawan Learner.
