2nd Fleet was established soon after Mon Calamari joined the Rebellion, the Second Fleet is the defensive force assigned to protect the Mon Calamari Sector. It is, not surprisingly, composed almost entirely of Mon Calamari Cruisers.

- Task Force 20 - Dac System Defense Force - Defending Dac and the Dac System.
- Task Force 21 - Quarren Defense Fleet - Defending Minntooine, Talas, Eridicon IV, Buchich, and Pammant.
- Task Focre 22 - Calamari Sector Fleet - Patroling Calamari Sector.
- Task Force 23 - Calamari Shipyard Defense Fleet - Defending Ruisto and Krinemonen III.
- Task Force 24 - Calamari Sector Defense Fleet - Defending Sanctuary, Mantan, Hinakuu, and Damendine
