Based at the Imperial Security Bureau's Central Office on Imperial Center, the Central Tactical Unit is a self-contained task force created by the Investigations branch of the Imperial Security Bureau to operate outside of the ordinary chain of command. It combines personnel not just from Investigations but from Surveillance and Enforcement as well, allowing it to investigate crimes and provide a counter-terrorism and counter-intelligence role without the administrative complications of needing cooperations between the various ISB branches.

Because of the location of it's headquarters, the unit is sometimes referred to - unofficially - as the Coruscant Tactical Unit. This is considered inacurate however, as it's area of operations technically encompasses anything considered to be of "special interest" to the Director of Investigations; in reality, this usually extends to the major imperial worlds located in the Core.

Members

Colonel Ethan Tahmores:
The Unit Commander of CTU, and also the de facto Senior Field Agent. Tahmores is a former officer in the Stormtrooper Corps, where he served since the Clone Wars; prior to that, he was a volunteer in the Royal Security Forces on Naboo, and served as a Detective.

Agent Vivienne Aviz:
A Field Agent with a background in Investigations.

Agent Elizabeth Jansen:
A Probationary Field Agent who recently transferred to Investigations in order to join CTU. Previously, she served as a Surveillance Agent, and has become the unit's resident specialist in forensics.

Sergeant Soren Khapst:
The Senior Enforcement Agent who, because of his background, also serves as a de facto leader of the ISB Stormtrooper unit deployed with CTU. He previously served as a Gunnery Sergeant with the Stormtroopers Corps, and served alongside Tahmores for a number of years.

Missions

Meltdown -
Brought in as a favour to Jacob Tur'enne, a prominant District Attorney, the Central Tactical Unit travels to Corellia to investigate the mysterious disappearence of Tur'enne's son from a maximum security weapons research facility, where he was working on a top secret Imperial project.
