===Lord of the Empire===

A title awarded solely by the Emperor or Empress conferring a senior aristocratic position onto an Imperial Citizen for (mostly) meritocratic reasons. There are occasions where staunch supporters and political allies are given the title.  Those so-awarded are referred to as " your Lordship" or " my Lord."  Notable recipients include Yegrin Souravic Tion and the late [[Grand Moff Tarkin]], though the latter had no use for it and was rarely referred to as Lord Wilhuff.

The position comes with a yearly pension to the ennobled subject and a smaller pension to his spouse/life partner and his direct descendants.

The title is not hereditary. 

===Female Awardees===

The title can be given to females and are known each as a Lady of the Empire.
