|Varyan is the sole heir to Archon Firenzo Starfallen and his wife Denara, on Theselon. He grew up to become accomplished both in court and on the battleground. 

Despite hours of sword training, the future Archon never showed prowess with such weapons, favoring unarmed combat, archery and blaster shooting instead, much to his family's dismay. 

A murder attempt on his mother when he was young led him to be assigned to keep watch over the royal kitchens and he developed an outstanding talent for baking. 

When his father was plagued by illness, Varyan became Archon in his place. At this point, he needs to find a bride to gain political alliances and also to continue the bloodline. The young man made it clear he wanted to decide for himself and not risk ending with a golden leash tying him down to a bedpost because of how most Hapan women are. He has very gender egalitarian views when it comes to society and marriage and refuses to submit to a bride.
